How to add and play an M3U link
An M3U link is the playlist address your provider gives you, usually starting with http. Add it from the website on your phone, or in the app itself.
Steps
- 1
Note your device details
Open Royal Play; the MAC address and 6-digit device key are on screen.
- 2
Open the upload page
Scan the QR code on the screen with your phone, or open royalplay.tv/en/upload and enter the MAC and key.
- 3
Paste the link
Choose M3U, name the playlist, paste the full link and press Save.
- 4
Reload playlists
The screen refreshes by itself, or press “Reload playlists” in the app.
Tips
- In the app: “Add playlist here” → paste the M3U link in the URL box and leave username and password empty.
- If your link has get.php with a username and password, Royal Play loads it as an Xtream login by itself, so channels appear much faster.
- Keep up to 5 playlists on one device and switch between them.
Questions
Where do I get an M3U link?
From your service provider. Royal Play is a player only and does not sell playlists or subscriptions.
My playlist will not load. What now?
Check the link is complete and copied correctly, and that your subscription is active. Very large lists can take a while the first time.
What is the difference between M3U and Xtream?
M3U is one link to a playlist file. Xtream is three details: server URL, username and password; it loads faster and brings a better TV guide.
