Channels not playing or stuttering? Fixes
Most stutter and channels that will not play are fixed in Settings in seconds. Try these steps in order.
Steps
- 1
Switch the live stream format
In Settings → Live stream format, switch between HLS and TS. HLS suits most TVs; TS is often lighter and faster with many providers.
- 2
Switch the player
In Settings → Player: on Android try ExoPlayer or VLC; on computers the built-in player, mpv or VLC.
- 3
Reload the playlist
In Settings → Playlists choose “Reload list” to get your provider’s latest version.
- 4
Check your subscription and connections
Many subscriptions allow one device at a time. If the channel is playing on another device, this one may cut out.
- 5
Check your internet speed
HD channels need about 8 Mbps and 4K about 25 Mbps. If you can, connect the TV by cable instead of Wi-Fi.
Tips
- If only one channel fails and the rest play, the problem is most likely that channel at your provider.
- If the app says your subscription has ended, that is the player’s subscription on this device; your provider renews it.
Questions
Movies play but live channels do not
Switch the live stream format between HLS and TS; it only affects live channels.
I hear sound but the picture is black
The format is probably not supported by that player. Switch to VLC or mpv.
